• Regarding the procedures for the transportation and use of explosive materials during this year's Hajj season in 1445 AH.

    Greetings,

    Asharqia Chamber extends its warmest greetings and informs you of receiving a letter from the Saudi Chambers Council numbered (45103055) and dated (11/7/1445 AH), referring to a letter from the General Authority of Transport numbered (4117/45/1) and dated (6/7/1445 AH), which is attached to the telegram from His Royal Highness the Minister of Interior, Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee, numbered (S/4501821119) and dated (19/6/1445 AH), regarding taking all necessary security measures early to ensure the security and safety of all pilgrims during this year's Hajj season in 1445 AH. This includes initiating the usual security procedures to prevent any incidents jeopardizing the security of this important mission as follows:

    1- Suspension of the import, export, transportation, and use of explosive materials in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina from (20/11/1445 AH) to (25/12/1445 AH).

    2- Suspension of the import, export, transportation, and use of explosive materials in the rest of the Kingdom's regions from (30/11/1445 AH) to (20/12/1445 AH).

    3- Continuation of the use of explosives in all gold mines and oil exploration sites without interruption.

    4- General Security authorities to conduct field surveys of projects where explosives have been used in Mecca, Medina, and the holy sites to ensure site safety and prepare necessary reports.

    5- The Ministry of Defense will cover the Kingdom's air, land, and sea ports with specialized explosive disposal units starting from (1/11/1445 AH) until the ports are closed to pilgrims.

    6- The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority will intensify customs inspection operations on pilgrims and confiscate any prohibited materials brought into the Kingdom.
